The months May and June in each of the past four years have seen the playing of the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open Golf Championship at the beautiful Gray Bear golf course, located in the scenic and peaceful Tale Resort. The Slovak Open is a Ladies European Tour (LET) event and is organized with and hosted by the owners of the Tale Resort. The world’s best women players have competed for the trophy presented to the winner of this prestigious event and the prize money of €275,000 that is distributed among the top finishers in the field. Accomplished veteran players such as Laura Davies, Helen Alfredssen, Trish Johnson have competed in this event along with new stars such as winners Maria Hernandez Munoz, of Spain (2010) and Caroline Hedwall, of England (2011). At the top of this list is the number one player from Eastern Europe, LET tour member, and LET tournament winner Zuzana Kamasova, who is also a member at Gray Bear Golf Club. Czech star Klára Spilkova has also played in this event and is a popular regional player with high expectations as well. Players from almost 30 different nations have, and will continue to compete making this a truly international event.
The event will again be played at the challenging Gray Bear course. The LET organization and players alike are looking forward to the competition, the challenge of the course, and the kind hospitality offered by the fine Tale Resort.
The Allianz Ladies Slovak Open 2014 presented by Respect will be held on 19th - 22nd June 2014 and will see 126 players compete over three rounds of stroke play for a purse of €275,000.
